I know how tough and scary it is to get started. I've been through the self-publishing process 4 times now and can safely say it was worth it. I have published on Amazon for Kindle, Smashwords, Barnes and Noble and Createspace and can help you get your files ready to do the same.
Getting your book ready can be frustrating and time consuming. Here are some reasonable solutions.
Once your book has been edited, hopefully by a professional editor. There are many out there with reasonable prices that I can recommend, you'll need to have it formatted for uploading to either a digital or print provider, like Amazon or smashwords, and Createspace.
PRICING:
DIGITAL INTERIOR FORMATTING* up to 85K words:
Kindle, epub and PDF format - $70
Add $5 for every 10,000 words over 85K
$35 deposit required.
PRINT INTERIOR FORMATTING:
Formatting into PDF and ready to upload to Createspace. - $100.
Add $5 for every 10,000 words over 85K.
$35 deposit required.
Designing Print cover for PDF ready to upload to Createspace from existing e-book cover $50.
You retain all your rights and royalties on all the above services. I do not publish your book for you. I will make them upload-ready for you and give you instruction on how to do that. For your print book, you will acquire your own ISBN from Createspace, which can be anywhere from free to $99. Your choice. E-book ISBNs are optional depending on where you publish your book and can be purchased from some of the sites you chose. I highly recommend going with KDP select your first time out. It gives you an added edge for free promotion days and no ISBN is required because KDP provides their own ASIN instead.
